Best of all you can cancel the second phone line dedicated
to your computer. With DSL you can talk and surf over the
same phone line at the same time!

a second phone line costs about $20 per month this means that
cost of DSL will be roughly equivalent to what you’re
paying now for Internet service and a second line.

Currently,
we are putting folks on a waiting list for DSL because we
are also waiting. Waiting for BellSouth to upgrade their equipment
so we can install our own equipment and provide you with DSL.
BellSouth says we’ll be able to do so before the end
of the year. Keep your fingers crossed! If you’re on
the waiting list we’ll give you a call just as soon as
DSL is available.
DSL technology
enhances the capabilities of an existing phone line. The DSL
modem YourLink will provide for you splits a single phone
line into two frequencies:
- One
Carrying Data (Digital)—for your Internet connection
- The
second for Voice (Analog)—for your telephone or fax
machine
This
allows you to talk on the phone while you surf the Internet.

*Until we’ve
actually installed our DSL equipment we’re estimating
a monthly service fee of $39.95. Note that this is significantly
less than the $50 per month for cable modem service.
